Try this delicious and easy to apply recipe to all your favorite Spring Greens and greens year round!
Wine Glazed Spring Greens
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, roughly chopped
150ml dry white wine
1 clove garlic, crushed
500g local spring greens, shredded
Salt & ground black pepper
In a wok or large frying pan heat the oil & butter and add the onion & garlic. Fry for about 4 minutes until the onion is beginning to soften and the bacon is starting to brown slightly.
Add the wine and cook on high to reduce the liquid for about 2 minutes … should be syrupy but not dried out.
Lower the heat and add the spring greens and seasoning, mix well.
Cook over a gentle heat for about 8 minutes until the greens are tender. Serve immediately.
